Internal
Writes the thread identity onto the entries a conversation lists. The one writer of the ids an entry's own action posts to: the thread decoder passes the conversation's ids here and the screen's composer branch passes the empty sentinel, so no other code sets thread_id or thread_v2_id on an entry and an entry's id is the screen's by construction. A composer has no messages and its participant rows carry the sentinel the nickname screen refuses.

The Direct screens' own constructor; no published declaration names it.
