    Class IosIgpapi

    One call is one Instagram iOS app process, birth to death: it builds the process, starts it the way the entry names, runs main and closes the process when main ends — on success, on failure and when interrupted. iOS has no screens yet, so main takes no screen: it composes the platform's Effects (IosLogin, the Direct flows, ExportSnapshot) on the process. Nothing is built, and nothing is sent, before the call.

    install is a fresh install: it sends nothing of its own (the login does its pre-login itself). launch is a cold start from a stored snapshot: it sends the app's launch burst (IosAppLaunchFlow) before main begins. There are no resume… entries: they continue a checkpoint on the screen it was taken on, and no iOS screen can be checkpointed yet.

    otherwise and a screen for main do not exist on iOS: they dispatch the screens the app shows instead of the expected one, and iOS has none.

    const snapshot = await IosIgpapi.install({
    seed: username,
    main: () =>
    Effect.gen(function* () {
    yield* IosLogin({ username, password });
    return yield* ExportSnapshot;
    }),
    });

    Methods

    • A cold start from a snapshot (ExportSnapshot), as an object (never JSON text): the app's launch burst is sent before main begins. A part the snapshot lacks is the library's own: the whole device of seed (random without one), the library's build, the empty session.
